In Lesson 2, you learned to dribble — that's just you and the ball. But soccer is a team sport. The fastest way to move the ball up the field is not to dribble, but to pass. A good pass moves the ball faster than your feet can run.
To pass, you turn your foot so the inside (the side near your big toe) hits the ball. Aim where your friend can reach. Don't kick too hard — a pass is not a shot.
To receive, watch the ball coming. Put your foot out softly, like you're catching a baby bird. If your foot is hard, the ball bounces away. If your foot is soft, the ball stops right next to you. That's a great first touch.
